The next management meeting of the club will be held at 7pm on 19th October 2016 in the rear function room at Penshurst Hotel. If not already done so team staff can use this opportunity to return brag books and medical kits.
In terms of the clubs rules this article serves as notice of the intention to place before the meeting, for consideration and voting by secret ballot, nominations for life membership.
(1) Nominations for Life Membership must be presented in writing, to the Secretary at least
fourteen (14) days prior to the last Management Committee meeting before that years
Presentation Night. A written resume of the member’s involvement in the club must be
supplied. The nomination must be signed by the mover and seconder of the motion to award the Life Membership. The Executive Committee will review the nomination to ensure that it meets the criteria and then forward it to the final Management Committee meeting for endorsement. The awarding of Life Membership will require a secret ballot vote and be passed by a two thirds majority of those members present and entitled to vote.
( 2) The minimum criteria to receive Life Membership shall be
(a) a minimum of 10 years service to the club; and
(b) to be judged to have made a significant contribution to the club in that time.
