2016 ANZAC march

on .

The 2016 Penshurst RSL ANZAC march will be held this Sunday. This is a great opportunity for us to give something back to the club that has supported us for 55 years.

Last year we had fantastic numbers of juniors participating in the march and we would like to emulate that this year. Our junior development officer, Rob Hunt will be co-ordinating our participation please give Rob all the support you can.

Information for team staff

on .

A Message for all Coaches, Managers and Trainers.

Under the rules of our club it is a requirement for all team staff to be financial members of the football club. 2016/17 memberships are now open. As a member you have voting rights at all special and annual general meetings, giving you a real say in how your club is run.

This year’s membership fees have been increased to $20.00. However this will now include a 2016 club polo which we hope you will wear proudly on game days.

To renew your membership or to join the club please see our treasurer, Steve Rogers at training or at home games.

Your club has been made aware that confidential emails between members of the executive committee written in 2014/15 are being selectively leaked. This action is being undertaken by the clubs previous president with an obvious intent to cause damage to the club and to current committee members.

Some of these internal emails represent communications between friends and were never indented for circulation wider than to the people they were originally addressed to. It is possible they could contain offensive language and derogatory terms that were the products of frustration at the time of their writing. The club and its committee unreservedly apologise for any offence or hurt caused by their content.

With the 2016 season quickly approaching your club is working hard on moving forward and putting what was a turbulent and divisive period behind us.

Working with Children

on .

At the risk of sounding like a broken record.

Broken record

If you have been elected to a position on the general committee of the club you must hold a valid Working With Children number (WWC). Failure to do so could leave your club open to significant fines.

If you do not hold a valid WWC you do not possess one of the prerequisites required to hold a position in the club.

At the next meeting of the general committee any positions currently held by people who have not provided a valid WWC number will be declared as casual vacancies. If you have not already done so you need to provide your WWC number now or contact our Secretary and let him know your situation.

All Coaches, Managers and Trainers are also reminded that you will need to provide a valid WWC number before the season commences. See the artice below for details on how to obtain your WWC number.
